Hong Kong is well-known as its unique character of assimilating different kinds of cultures, especially culture of the West and of the East.

But in terms of languages, only Cantonese and English are mostly recognized by local Hong Kong people. While we can easily find a lot of Tagalog speakers, Filipinos, are surrounding us, how should we view this language as well as this group of people in Hong Kong?

With the interviews of residential Filipinos and domestic helpers, the interrelated connection between language practices and identity construction among these groups of Filipinos will be revealed.
